Verona will begin collecting Christmas trees for recycling beginning this Wednesday, January 5.

To have your tree picked up, you need to bring it to the curb in front of your house, and if you’ve used a plastic bag or tarp to get it out, that has to be removed because the plastic will jam the mulching machine. All lights and decorations also need to be removed. Township Manager Matthew Cavallo said at the Town Council meeting on Monday that trees left at the curb in bags will not be collected. Christmas tree pickup will continue every Wednesday through January 26.

Verona has posted is schedule for garbage and recycling collection for 2022. You can download it here, or get the Remyndr trash collection and recycling app from the Apple App store or Google Play. The app was developed in 2015 by a Verona resident.
