Mrs. Elizabeth Ann (nee Vreeland) Watkins, 70, died peacefully at her home on November 3, 2021.

Visiting in the Prout Funeral Home, 370 Bloomfield Avenue, Verona, will be on Sunday, November 7, from 3 to 5 p.m. A graveside service will be held in the Pine Brook Cemetery, Route 46, Pine Brook on Monday at 11 a.m.

Born in Glen Ridge, Mrs. Watkins grew up on Pease Avenue in Verona before moving to Little Falls in 1992.

She graduated from Verona High School (1968), earned a bachelor’s degree in music from Penn State University and a master’s in library science from Pratt Institute. She worked as a librarian for Rutgers University, Newark for 28 ½ years, retiring in 2018.

Mrs. Watkins was a member of the D.A.R.–Eagle Rock Cranetown Chapter, Packard Club and Master Gardeners Association of Passaic County.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 35 years, Richard W. Watkins, and cousin, Nancy Phillips.
