Mrs. Yolanda Casale (nee Terrezza), 95, died peacefully on Thursday, October 21, 2021 in Livingston. Visiting will be in the Prout Funeral Home, 370 Bloomfield Ave., Verona on Monday, October 25 from 4 to 7 p.m. A funeral mass will be offered at Our Lady of the Lake Church in Verona on Tuesday at 10 a.m.

Lonnie was born and raised in Newark and lived in Verona since 1955. She loved the beach and spent her summers at the Jersey Shore.

She was the personnel director at the Essex County Hospital Center in Cedar Grove for 28 years and retired in 1991.

Lonnie was predeceased by her son, Dennis Casale, brothers, Anthony, Carmine and Salvatore Terrezza and sisters, Henny Hopkins, Stella Dell’Olmo, Gloria Pagliuca, Jolanda Terrezza and Grace Jacoby.

Devoted to her family, she is survived by her beloved husband of 71 years, Daniel Casale; her loving son, Robert Casale (Anne); daughter-in-law, Anne Casale; cherished grandchildren, Elizabeth Lax (David), Matthew Casale (Emily Anderson), Melissa Borshoff (Kyle), Amy Casale and Julie Casale; and great-grandchildren, Hudson, Peyton, Harper, Wren and Luke. She is also survived by her sisters, Violet Litvany, Lois Chapman and Betty Lou Dinsmore.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Our Lady of the Lake Endowment Trust or St. Jude Children’s Hospital would be greatly appreciated.
