On Saturday, December 11, the Verona Woman’s Club and Juniorettes will hold their annual Share Your Light Night. Thousands of luminarias will be lit at 5 p.m. in the Civic Center and throughout Verona, symbolizing neighborhood unity.
This year, the clubs are asking Verona businesses to support this fundraiser, with several different sponsorship levels available. The names of the supporting businesses and their logos will be printed on reusable cloth bags that will be used for the luminaria kits this year, as well as on a banner that will be displayed at Fair in the Square.
All money raised will be used to support local organizations. In the past, the Woman’s Club and Juniorettes have helped fund scholarships for Verona students, the Verona Children’s Fund, the Verona Public Library, the Verona Rescue Squad and Fire Department, the Verona Foundation for Educational Excellence (VFEE), Verona Strong, and the Church of the Holy Spirit and Human Needs food pantries.
