Mr. William J. Staranka, 63, died on July 1, 2021 at Arbor Glen in Cedar Grove. Graveside services will be held at the Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington on Tuesday, July 6 at 11 a.m.

Born in Weehawken and raised in Jersey City, Mr. Staranka lived in Wayne before moving to Verona six years ago.

He worked as a racetrack teller at the Meadowlands and most recently, as a “4-1-1” operator for Metro One Communications in Secaucus. He was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Church.

Mr. Staranka was predeceased by his parents, William and Kathleen (nee Cox) Staranka.

He is survived by his brothers, Stephen R. Staranka (Michele) and John Staranka (Rhonda) and nieces and nephews, Christopher, Sean, Jaclyn, Justin, Kaitlyn and Jenna.
