Have fun this summer with books, activities and programs at the Verona Public Library! The Summer Reading program is in full swing at the library. Kids up through grade 4 can register at the library and pick up a reading log and cute animal tote bag to carry all those books. Kids in grades 5 – 12 can also stop by the library for a tote bag and brochure of events. Tweens and teens will use READsquared to keep track of reading. Download the app for free or sign up online. Adults can use READsquared or stop by the library for a BINGO board. Prizes include a Kindle, gift cards to local businesses, a Harry Potter prize pack, a gamer prize pack, an art supply prize pack, and more! The more you read the more chances you have to win.

Programs will be both in-person and virtual this summer. Some highlights include:

  • Read to a Dog – July 7
  • Minecraft Mania – July 8
  • Elephant & Piggie Puppet Show – July 9 and August 3
  • Coding with TinkerCad – July 22
  • Spark Joy! The KonMari Method of Tidying Up – July 13
  • Lenape Tales – July 20
  • Paint the Town Window Painting – August 7

The Summer Reading program is sponsored by the Friends of the Verona Public Library. Visit the library or our website for more information about upcoming events: www.veronalibrary.org/summer-reading
