Jack McEvoy will be sworn in to a second term on the Verona Town Council on Thursday, July 1, and Cynthia Holland and Christopher Tamburro, who were elected to the Council in May, will be sworn in to a first term.

The swearing will take place at 5:30 p.m. on the steps of the Town Hall as part of the Council’s reorganization meeting. If it rains, the ceremony and meeting will be moved to the ballroom of the Verona Community Center.

At the event, the new Council will also elect a mayor and deputy mayor from among its members. McEvoy was elected mayor at the Council’s last reorganization meeting in 2019 and Alex Roman was elected deputy mayor.
