One of VeronaRocks’ first events first events was a bake sale to raise money to fight progeria, a rapid aging disease that affects Verona resident Zoey Penny.

Back on Father’s Day in 2016, at Waterview nursing home in Cedar Grove, a group of then elementary school students from Verona began a journey in helping others.

More than 100 events later and so many friendships made, the members of what is now called VeronaRocks are celebrating five years in making a positive difference in their community.

Picture boards with memories

Over the weekend, VeronaRocks’ members took a trip down memory lane and created picture boards of their accomplishments, from bike ride events, to fashion shows, car washes, food drives, holiday caroling and numerous fundraisers.

One of their favorite events almost five years ago was a bake sale fundraiser for the Progeria Research Foundation. So VeronaRocks decided to celebrate their anniversary raising money for this important foundation.
