For the second year in a row, and despite the pandemic, the Verona High School Spotlight Players have been nominated in several categories for Foxys, Montclair State University’s theater awards.
Nominated for their work in this fall’s radio play, “The War of The Worlds” are Griffin Wilner for Outstanding Performance by an Actor in a Radio Play (Audio Only), Audrey Ng for Outstanding Performance by an Actress in a Radio Play (Audio Only), and Sarah Wynne for Outstanding Performance by an Actress in a Radio Play (Audio Only). Additionally the entire cast was nominated for Outstanding Achievement by an Acting Ensemble of a Radio Play (Audio Only) and the production cast/production crew was nominated for Outstanding Production of a Radio Play (Audio Only).
Montclair State’s Theater Night Awards will take place virtually on May 24.
The Spotlight Players are hoping to return to the physical stage at VHS this fall. You can support their efforts by participating in their spring-time flamingo flocking fundraiser. All proceeds go to scholarships.
