Today, Saturday, April 24, is the Verona High School music department’s eighth annual percussion festival “Necessary Noise.” In past years, this has been a multi-day event and the largest percussion festival on the East Coast, complete with workshops, competitions, showcase concerts and clinics for high school, college and professional musicians.
This year, it’s all going to be online and you can watch it through a free livestream on YouTube. The music starts at 2 p.m. and runs until 9 p.m. Verona High School’s percussionists will perform towards the end of the festival.
The festival will unfold over afternoon and evening concerts as follows: (Please note timings are approximate)
