Book Sale To Benefit VFEE
Looking to find a great Valentine’s present while providing funding for grants to Verona’s teachers and supporting our local bookstore? The Verona Foundation for Educational Excellence (VFEE) is holding a book sale through Watchung Booksellers from Saturday, February 6, through Friday, February 12.
You can shop online at Watchung Booksellers and enter code VFEE at checkout. Ten percent of all sales–including gift cards–will go to VFEE to support future teacher grants. You will be able to pick up your purchases at the Verona Pool on Saturday, February 13 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The Verona Foundation for Educational Excellence is a 501c(3) organization devoted to enhancing the student learning experience in Verona, beyond the scope of the regular tax-funded curriculum. Its independence from the Board of Education and the school system gives VFEE the ability to support “out-of-the-box” ideas, tools and activities for Verona’s student body. It does this via grants and funding, which the educators themselves directly apply for, aimed at enabling students access to authentic learning experiences. All donations to VFEE are tax exempt to the fullest extent of the law.
