Crunch Fitness Holds Virtual 5K For Hunger
Crunch Fitness Verona announced the completion of its first virtual 5K Turkey Trot, which raised over $3,000 that was donated directly to Action Against Hunger, a nonprofit global humanitarian organization.
Action Against Hunger takes decisive action against the causes and effects of hunger. They save the lives of malnourished children and ensure everyone can access clean water, food, training and healthcare. Action Against Hunger served more than 17 million people in 46 countries.
Participants were encouraged to run their race on their own schedule, whether socially distanced outside or on a dedicated Crunch Fitness treadmill. Each runner was given a custom event t-shirt and race medal for the completion of their race.
“Our top goal through these times is to keep people healthy and safe,” says Sha Hosin, general manager at Crunch Fitness Verona. Our virtual 5K kept people moving and helped a great organization that is on the ground fighting this pandemic.”
