They’re calling it Pumpkin Fest: A chance for kids to dress up in costume and paint a Halloween pumpkin.
The free event will be held on Saturday, October 31 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. outdoors in the Civic Center, and you must register in advance for a 1-hour painting slot. Pumpkins and paint will be provided, but the organizers say you must bring your own brushes. Masks are required and and you must follow social distancing rules.
Pumpkin Fest is sponsored by the Verona Public Library, Township of Verona, Verona Junior Woman’s Club, Verona Arts, Hillcrest Farms and Hearth Realty.
You can register for a time slot here.
To keep trick-or-treating safe this year, the New Jersey Department of Health is asking kids to wear a face mask with their costume mask, keep their trick-or-treat group small, avoid large parties and keep their hands clean. Treat-givers should arrange treats in a safe, quickly accessible way.
