Gloria E. Starita, Lifelong Homemaker
Mrs. Gloria E. Starita, died on September 30, 2020 at her daughter’s home in Verona.
A funeral mass will be offered on Saturday, October 3, 2020 at 9:45 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Church, 30 North Fullerton Ave., Montclair. Facial masks must be worn and social distancing observed.
Born and raised in Jersey City, Mrs. Starita lived in Woodridge and Montclair before moving to Verona. She also maintained a home in Curtis Point.
A lifelong homemaker for her loving family, she was the consummate hostess for family, friends and business occasions. She was a member of St. Vincent’s Auxiliary, the Upper Montclair Women’s Club, Verona Shade Tree Commission and board member of St. Joseph’s Hospital.
Mrs. Starita was predeceased by her husband, Joseph R. Starita, her daughter, Donna Mehan, her grandson, Christopher Maziarz, her granddaughters, Ava Detore and Mary Jade Starita and son-in-law, Craig Maziarz.
She is survived by her loving daughters, Gloria E. Starita, Margaret Gaye Maziarz, and Debra Starita-Detore (Robert), 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers donations to the St. Vincent’s Auxiliary, 315 East Lindsley Road, Cedar Grove, NJ 07009 would be appreciated.
