National Voter Registration Day is Tuesday, September 22, and the state of New Jersey will hold an in-person registration event for anyone looking to affiliate with any party in the afternoon in Newark.
The event will be held at the Prudential Center, which is at the corner of Mulberry and Edison Streets, from 2 to 4 p.m. If you have not already filled out your Census form, Census staff will also be available to help you fill out your census in-person.
You can check your registration status through the New Jersey Division of Elections and get more information on registering there too. If you cannot make the in-person event, you can register online. The deadline to register to vote in the November General Election is Tuesday, October 13.
