Rosemarie’s Rescue Ranch, which rescues, fosters and places animals in new homes, has opened a resale shop to support its work at 528 Bloomfield Avenue, opposite Verona Park.

The store is fully staffed by volunteers, most of whom are Verona residents. It is open six days a week: 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesday and Saturday. Shoppers can park in the main municipal parking lot behind Avenue Bistro and Chase Bank.

Susan Janett, a Verona native who is the president and co-founder of Rosemarie’s Rescue Ranch, says the store accepts new and gently used clothing and household items. “We ask all used items be in good, clean condition with no rips, tears or chips,” she says.

Donation drop-off times are Tuesdays and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to noon. “A volunteer will gladly meet you outside in the back of the building parking lot to help unload your car,” Janett says.
