The track behind H.B. Whitehorne Middle School has needed a complete makeover for a very long time and now, thanks to the referendum, the deteriorated track has been removed and drainage work has been completed. This weekend, contractors will tackle the last step, installing the new rubberized surface.
The Verona Police Department posted to social media this afternoon to say that, because of the work, no one will be allowed to enter the track area or walk on it. The police also warned that they will be enforcing the no-trespassing order, perhaps to forestall the kind of damage that was done to the resurfacing on the playground behind F.N Brown School.
