The food pantry at the Episcopal Church of the Holy Spirit is very low on paper towels and cleaning supplies and is hoping to get community support to restock before its next open day on Saturday, May 23. The church hopes that, if you have some to spare, you can drop it in its 24-hour bin next to the side door before next Friday.

Holy Spirit’s pantry will be open next Saturday from 9 to 11 a.m. Shoppers must remain in their cars, volunteers will wear masks and all will maintain physical distancing. The pantry is also still offering home deliveries.

The Food Pantry is open from 9 to 11 a.m. on the fourth Saturday of every month, and anyone in need is welcome. If you need assistance in an emergency, before this date, please contact the church office at [email protected] or leave a voicemail at (973) 239-2850 to make arrangements.

The church also accepts financial support from the community for the pantry, which helps it to purchase low inventory items and provide gift cards to shoppers. Your financial donation is tax deductible.  You may mail a check to the church at 36 Gould Street, Verona, NJ 07044 (put “Food Pantry” in the memo) or donate online.
