The owners of two local yoga studios, Verona Yoga and Iris Mind + Body, have joined forces with Zest restaurant in Fairfield to raise money to donate meals to healthcare workers at University Hospital in Newark. They will host a special, donation-based class on May 17 at 4 p.m. with 100% of the proceeds helping Zest provide meals to the Hospital workers.

The owners of the two studios decided to bring their yoga communities together during a time when everyone desperately needs to decrease stress and anxiety. Lisa Munjack, Donna Fauerbach, Kristin Broek and Taryn Lagonigro came up with the plan during a Zoom call where they were brainstorming ideas for their studios.

The Vinyasa-style virtual yoga class will be suitable for all-levels. To make it more fun, all four studio owners will be taking lead in this round-robin style class. Our healthcare heroes are the essential workers risking their lives to help save lives every day. We need to help keep them healthy and keep their spirits up! You can donate as much or as little as you are able to. Sign up on the events pages of VeronaYoga.com or IrisStudiosNJ.com.
