The end of this school year will be very different than past years in Verona. Superintendent Dr. Rui Dionisio told the Board of Education on Tuesday night that, “It does not appear now that a traditional graduation ceremony will be possible this year.”
Verona High School has asked members of the Class Of 2020 for their ideas on a different graduation, but Principal Joshua Cogdill has already put other senior recognition in motion. Every day on Instagram, he is highlighting different members of the class and including their high school memories and future plans.
And now, every Friday at 20:20 (8:20 p.m.) for 20 minutes and 20 seconds, Codgill will be turning on lights on VHS’s upper field to honor the class. “VHS is proud of our graduates and miss them very much,” he wrote.
