Togetherness While Apart

Verona Kids Rock members Anna Lilley and Lea Carattini teamed up over the weekend to honor and thank Verona’s emergency service workers for protecting our homes and families.

The girls made close to 150 community togetherness pins in an arrangement of colors: blue and white to honor Verona PBA Local 72; red and white for the Verona Fire Department; red, white and blue along with maroon and white for the Verona Rescue Squad; and even green and white for the Verona Environmental Commission as they thought about how they miss their parks and can’t wait to return. Lastly, the girls made pins with silver beads to remind us all that every cloud has a silver lining.

Verona Kids Rock hopes the Verona community will make and wear their own pins to remind us that even while we apart, we are together.
