The Hilltop Conservancy says volunteers have made significant progress with clearing the brush from this spring’s tree-planting site at the Hilltop’s forest regeneration site. Enough progress that it thinks that with only one or two more sessions, the site will be ready for the excavator to dig planting holes for the next round of trees.
So the Conservancy has scheduled another clearing session this coming Sunday, March 8, again from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. As before, you are welcome to come for any amount of time you can spare. Hilltop Conservancy Treasurer Theresa Trapp will bring some pruning saws and loppers, but if you have an extra handsaw at home, please bring it. Work gloves and sturdy shoes are a must.
If you’re a Scout, any time you spend at the site counts as conservation or community service hours.
