Verona Schools Superintendent Dr. Rui Dionisio has shared news of the passing of Stephen Sherman Koenig, who worked in the schools’ Maintenance Department for nearly 25 years before retiring in August 2018.

Koenig’s wake will be at the Hugh M. Moriarty Funeral Home, 76 Park Street, Montclair on Thursday, January 23, from 5 to 8 p.m. A memorial service will be held at the First Presbyterian Church Of Verona on Friday, January 24, at 11 a.m.

“Steve was a valued member of our staff and will be missed,” said Dr. Dionisio. “Please keep Steve’s family in your thoughts as they go through this difficult time.”
