It is one of the signature holiday traditions of Verona: The Living Nativity at Calvary Lutheran Church. The church’s parishioners, dressed in elaborate costumes, are joined in a manger on the lawn outside by live animals, and accompanied by Christmas music, crafts and refreshments.
Calvary Lutheran will present the Living Nativity on Sunday, December 15, from 5 to 7 p.m. The event is free and open to the public and it will be held in rain, sleet or even snow.
Calvary’s address is 23 S. Prospect Street, just off Bloomfield Avenue. For more information, contact the church at 973-239-0577 or visit www.veronalutheran.com.
