Backpacks for Life, the Verona-based charity that provides assistance to homeless veterans, is holding a fundraiser on Monday, December 2, featuring the work of local photographer George Diebold.

Diebold has done work for National Geographic, and his photos are part of the permanent collection of American Landscapes at the Montclair Art Museum, The Cleveland Museum of Art, The Mesa Contemporary Arts Museum and The Nelson Atkins Museum. His images have been featured in Graphis International, Communication Arts and Studio Photography.

The fundraiser will be held at Halcyon Brasserie at 114 Walnut Street in Montclair, from 6 to 10 p.m., and attendees will have the opportunity to speak with Diebold himself. A portion of the proceeds of each purchase will benefit Backpacks for Life.
