Interfaith Thanksgiving Set For November 24

The clergy leaders of five of Verona’s houses of worship, and one in West Orange, will sponsor an Interfaith Thanksgiving Service on Sunday, November 24, at 3 p.m. at the Episcopal Church of the Holy Spirit, 36 Gould Street, Verona. The service will feature a joint choir including Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church, First Presbyterian Church of Verona and Holy Spirit Verona.

The service will include scripture readings from Islamic, Jewish and Christian traditions, as well as music related to Thanksgiving. Attendees are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food or toiletry item to be donated to the Holy Spirit Verona Food Pantry.

After the service, light refreshments will be offered in the Holy Spirit Fellowship Room.
