The Friends of the Verona Public Library is now accepting donations of gently used books for its December 2019 Book Sale, which is its largest fundraiser of the year. Book sales and membership dues are the Friends’ primary source of fundraising. Proceeds provide financial support for the Verona Library’s children’s, adult and teen programming. Your donations make the book sales possible.
Children’s books are especially needed. DVDs, CDs and video games are also accepted. The Friends do not take textbooks, or VHS and cassette tapes. Book donations will be accepted until Wednesday, November 27.
All donations should be brought in through the Verona Library’s Gould Street entrance. Take the elevator to the lower level; follow the hallway; and drop your books off on the assigned cart.
The December book sale runs Friday to Sunday, December 6 to 8, with a special members-only evening on Thursday, December 5. If you are not a member and are interested in joining the Friends or helping out with the book sale, please email [email protected] or attend one of the Book Sale Committee meetings, on Monday, October 7, at 7 p.m. or Thursday, October 10, at 10 a.m. in the upstairs meeting room in the Verona Public Library.
