Please join Historian Robert L. Williams on Tuesday evening September 3 as he presents a display of artwork of historic buildings and places in Old Verona. The paintings were commissioned by Williams by noted artist and illustrator Mike Jaroszko of Montgomery, N.Y. and are on display in Verona Town Hall Council Chambers. The event, sponsored by the Verona Historical Society, will meet in the lobby of the Verona Town Hall at 7:30 p.m.

Each painting was carefully and painstakingly created from historical photographs with strong attention to detail. Included will be paintings of the Verona Schoolhouse, the original building of the Newark City Home where Verona High School now stands, the grist mill at Verona Lake, and a small grouping of the old homesteads around Verona, including the Williams Homestead on Claremont Avenue. Williams will explain the history of each building in detail.
