Verona’s 8U travel baseball team came from behind to win the 2019 USABL Summer Championship game.
In a team effort, the 8-year-old and under baseball team battled back from being down 8-4 going into the bottom of the sixth and final inning. The Barnstormers got timely hits and strong pitching to beat the Montclair Bulldogs 9-8.
The 8u Barnstormers consist of Jackson Hannigan, Tyler Boston, Liam Alworth, Chase Falcone, Charlie Molinaro, Joey Cocuzza, Ivan Perez, Corey Gonch, Luke Benanchietti, Luke Kassane, Mason Newman, Lucas Syros, and Anthony Arrington. The team is headed up by Coach Jamison Hannigan with assistant coaches: Jack Boston, Tim Alworth, Jamie Falcone, and Chuck Molinaro.
