Bloomfield Closing For Gas Line Repairs

Heads up if you are going to be out late on Monday or Tuesday next week: Bloomfield Avenue will be closed on both nights, July 29 and July 30, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., from Lakeside to Cumberland.

The road is being closed to allow PSE&G to repair a gas line that runs under the avenue. There was a break in the line a few months back, and there’s still an open pit at the corner of Derwent and Claremont where PSE&G made an emergency fix.
