To the Editor:

We’ve never written a political letter before, but feel compelled to write this one supporting Alex Roman for Verona Town Council. Since he was elected to the Council four years ago he has been a great asset to the smooth and financially sound running of our town.

We are both proud of the fact that we stay current with our town meetings and decisions and find that when a question arises at a meeting, Alex has a fact-based answer to the discussion at hand. When Alex is asked a question, he answers clearly. Citizens know he has done his due diligence to explore options and understand the impact of each and every dollar spent. Alex is out and about in town and his leadership skills can be seen in his ability to meet with people, listen and understand all points of view.

Alex was instrumental in helping guide Verona away from wasteful spending and poor practices. Before being elected, he attended Council meetings regularly voicing his concerns and offering solutions. Once elected, Alex delivered by being a leader of integrity and smart financial planning, always looking to put Verona and the people of our town first.

We could go on and on about the ideas Alex has brought to the table in the last four years. If facts matter to you, Alex is your guy. This is why we need Alex Roman on the town council and we hope you will vote line 1A on May 14th.

  1. I agree! Alex Roman knows how to truly look at budgets, he can handle construction projects, he knows technology – which can be crucial to our Police department and our city’s systems. He is not blinded by emotion or is one to stir up drama. He is a professional of the highest caliber and Verona is extremely fortunate to have him as one of our city council members. He presents facts and will not sling excuses or sidestep your questions. I have worked with him and know all of this firsthand. Re-elect Alex Roman!
