The Junior Woman’s Club of Verona will host a public forum with candidates for Town Council on Wednesday, May 1, at 7 p.m. in the Verona Community Center Ballroom, 880 Bloomfield Avenue.

The Verona Town Clerk’s Office received and approved five nominations to fill two open seats. The candidates running are (in order on the ballot): Alex Roman, John Quattrocchi, Michael Nochimson, John FioRito, and Christine McGrath.

The forum will provide the five candidates an opportunity to introduce themselves and answer questions from the public. The evening will be moderated by a member of the League of Women Voters, whose purpose is to promote political responsibility through informed and active participation in government. The public is encouraged to attend to learn more about the candidates prior to the election on Tuesday, May 14.

The Junior Woman’s Club of Verona is a non-profit, charitable organization committed to supporting Verona and surrounding communities. Anyone interested in joining or learning more about the Juniors can visit VeronaJuniors.org.
