CT Magatti Honored For Fire Department Service

The Verona Fire Department held its testimonial dinner for outgoing Chief CT Magatti on February 23. Chief Magatti held the office for 2017 and 2018.

The VFD elected Matt Gifford the new chief of department andMatt Valentine as assistant chief. The captain of Engine Co. #1 is now Bill Neal and its lieutenant is Steve Tedesco. The captain of Engine Co. #2 is Joe Festa and its lieutenant is CT Magatti.

Firefighter Steve Neale was honored as Firefighter of the Year for 2017 and Truck Co. #2 Capt. Joe Festa was so recognized for 2018.

At the dinner, firefighters were also presented with their service awards and the Firefighter of the Year award was given out for 2017 and 2018. Firefighter Steve Neale was honored as Firefighter of the Year for 2017 and Joe Festa was so recognized for 2018.
