UPDATE: The roadways have now been re-opened.
The Verona Police Department has sent out an alert saying that Bloomfield Avenue is shut in both directions at the Mount Prospect/Pompton Avenue intersection due to an accident that has resulted in downed wires. The VPD is asking motorists to find an alternate route this morning.
