Mrs. Sandra Elizabeth Hearne, 74, died on January 8, 2019 in Livingston. A funeral mass will be offered in Our Lady of the Lake Church, Verona on Saturday, January 12 at 9:45 a.m. (Condolences at www.proutfuneralhome.com).
Born in Jersey City, Mrs. Hearne grew up in Bloomfield and lived in West Caldwell and Verona. She had a BA in English from Montclair State University and worked in the Graduate Admissions Program of the university for most of her career.
Mrs. Hearne was predeceased by her husband, William Hearne and her brother George Smith. She is survived by her children, Michael Hearne, Kerry Simon (Ken), Daniel Hearne, Brendan Hearne (Wacharaporn) and her grandchildren, Kyle Simon, Molly Simon and Keenan Hearne.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer’s Association would be appreciated.
