To The Editor:
On behalf of the Verona Lions Club I would like to thank all those who supported our 2018 Super 50/50 raffle, especially our Verona residents. Your support this year allowed us to surpass last year’s sales and provided us the necessary funds to continue our volunteer efforts.
The first place award, $6,600, was awarded to Andrea Villani of Verona and second place amount of $1,650 was awarded to Stephen Vasquez of Bloomfield.
The funds raised from this raffle allow us to purchase additional wheelchairs and supplies for the hospital loan closet, provide service awards to graduating Verona high school residents and holiday ShopRite gift cards to Verona families in need.
Our club appreciates the support you have provided us this year and look forward to continuing our motto of We Serve to the residents of Verona.
