Recreation Department To Offer Guided Meditation Class

The Verona Recreation Department will offer a guided meditation class this winter. The class will be held from 7:30 to 8:15 p.m. on five Fridays at the Verona Community Center: January 4, 11, 18, and February 1 and 8. The cost is $75.

Mindfulness, as a way of life, focuses on cultivating a wholesome mind that will produce positive thoughts that contribute to your well being, simultaneously, the well-being of the whole world. Join, psychotherapist and Karuna Relaxation Reiki® Master, Sue Waldman, while she facilitates a relaxed, comforting and peaceful guided meditation. Using breath work, Karuna Reiki®, Aromatherapy, Tibetan chimes, and aromatherapy, learn the techniques of quieting your mind and enjoy the deep, lasting benefits of this ancient practice on your mind, body and spirit. Outcomes such as: reduction of stress, increased ability to concentrate, freedom from detrimental patterns of thought, emotion and behavior, increased learning, improved memory and health. No experience needed. Wear comfortable and layered clothes. Advance registration is required.
