The Verona Woman’s Club, Junior Woman’s Club of Verona, and Juniorettes have extended the deadline for buying luminary kits to support their Share Your Light Night fundraiser. Share Your Light Night raises funds to support social and charitable work in our community. You can support their community work by purchasing luminary kits, sand-filled small white paper bags with candles, that can be placed along front yards, curbs, or driveways.
If you have not yet purchased your luminary kit you can still do so by dropping off your order and payment to 81 Morningside Road by Friday. Your kit will be delivered to your home by Saturday afternoon with instructions. Each kit is $15. Make checks payable to Junior Woman’s Club of Verona. Each luminary kit contains sand, 10 bags, 10 candles, and assembly instructions.
On Share Your Light Night on Saturday, December 8, the luminaries across Verona will all be lit at 5 p.m. The lighted luminaries will create a ribbon of light symbolizing neighborhood unity. There will be a luminary lighting at the Civic Center again, and the organizations will be serving hot chocolate there from 5 to 7 p.m.
