The Week Ahead: Nov. 18-24, 2018

By on November 18, 2018

We’ve got a light week ahead of us in Verona, but there are a few things to pay attention to. Most importantly, you should think about loading up on books at the Verona Public Library on Sunday. It will close its temporary location at the Verona Community Center Annex Building on Monday, and you won’t be able to check anything out again until the library is back at its renovated building in the center of town on December 1.

Also, while there are no high school games that count this week, there is a noon-time scrimmage featuring the Verona-Glen Ridge Hockey team on Friday at Codey Arena. It could be a great cure for post-Thanksgiving cabin fever. And so is the annual Team Zoey Turkey Trot, a 5K fundraising race and fun run on Saturday that raises money to find a cure for the rapid aging disease progeria.
