The Week Ahead: Nov. 4-10, 2018

Tuesday this week is Election Day, Verona voters will pick two members of the Board of Education and vote on two BOE ballot questions, as well as choose a new representative to Congress. This week will also see big playoff games for volleyball and football, and both Verona High School’s boys and girls cross country squads will be competing in the Group championship in Holmdel on Saturday.

Here’s what’s happening:

Sunday, November 4
Verona Junior Wrestling registration, 2-4 p.m., Centennial Field

Monday, November 5
(no Town Council meeting)

Tuesday, November 6
Election Day: Polls are open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m., early dismissal, all schools

Wednesday, November 7
Volleyball state Group 1 sectional finals, Verona vs. New Providence, 6 p.m., VHS. State finals will be Saturday at William Paterson University.

Thursday, November 8
Meditation & Relaxation, 10 a.m., Verona Community Center Annex (temporary library location)
Knit for a Cause, 7 p.m., Verona Community Center Annex (temporary library location)
Board of Adjustment meeting, 8 p.m., Verona Community Center Ballroom

Friday, November 9
Football, N2G2 semifinals vs. Lyndhurst, 7 p.m., VHS

Saturday, November 10
Cross Country Group Championship, 9 a.m., Holmdell
Verona Junior Wrestling registration, 9-11 a.m., Verona Community Center
Volleyball state finals at William Paterson University, time TBD
