The June 5 midterm primary for Congress is also the time to elect new Democratic Committee district leaders in Verona.
The following Verona voting districts need Democrat males and/or females to make up the full Verona Municipal Democratic Committee. Although Verona’s town government is non-partisan, each party has a team that minds elections and other state and national concerns.
District 1: One male leader (Clairidge house, and the area East of Pompton Avenue)
District 6: One male leader (Forest Avenue section, more towards Essex Fells)
District 7: One male Leader (F.N. Brown area, including Ann Street and Cypress Avenue)
District 8: Male and female leaders (Wayland section and Park Avenue)
District 9: Female leader needed (Lynwood Avenue, Grove Avenue towards Fairview)
District 11: Male and female leaders (western Grove, Personette)
This is a small, elected position. For more information on what it entails, including what district you may be in, please contact Teena Schwartz at [email protected] or Laura Fortgang at [email protected]/(973) 857-8180.
