Advent, Christmas At Holy Spirit

By on December 3, 2017

The Episcopal Church of the Holy Spirit announces the following events and worship services during the month of December, all of which are open to the public.

  • Every Sunday at 8 a.m. we have a Quiet Eucharist in our historic All Saints Chapel: silence, Taize chants, contemplation. At 10 a.m., we have a Choral Eucharist, followed by coffee hour in our Fellowship Hall.
  • Blue Christmas Service on Thursday, December 14 at 7:30 p.m. For some of us the Christmas season brings feelings of sorrow and pain. Join us as we will pray for healing, remember loved ones and seek peace amid the comfort of others. This service is being hosted jointly with the First Presbyterian Church of Verona, but will be held at Church of the Holy Spirit, 36 Gould Street. Violin music begins at 7:15 p.m.
  • Christmas Pageant and Children’s’ Eucharist on Sunday, December 17 at 10 a.m. Children and youth of the parish will tell the story of the birth of Jesus. We are “calling all angels” to join our Pageant; no rehearsal necessary. Arrive by 9:45 a.m., bring an item for our food pantry, receive your halo and be an angel in our Pageant. Following the Pageant, we share in an interactive teaching Eucharist.
  • Christmas Eve Services on Sunday, December 24 will be at 4 p.m. (Service for families with young children) and 10 p.m. (Choral Music Service with trumpet and guest vocalist). Be at home with us this Christmas!
  • Additional information on all of these dates can be found on our website.
