Mrs. Doris T. (nee Fingerhut) Dolan, 91, died on June 11, 2017 at her home in Southampton, N.J. A Funeral Mass will be offered in Our Lady of the Church, Verona on Monday, June 19 at 10 a.m. Visiting will be in the Prout Funeral Home, 370 Bloomfield Avenue, Verona on Sunday from 5 to 8 p.m.
Born and raised in New York City, Mrs. Dolan lived in Verona for over 50 years before moving to Southampton in 2006.
She earned a bachelor’s degree from the College of New Rochelle and attended Fordham University Graduate School.
Mrs. Dolan was the Kindergarten teacher at Our Lady of the Lake School in Verona for 15 years before retiring in 1981. She was predeceased by her parents, six brothers and one sister.
Mrs. Dolan was the devoted wife of the late John W. Dolan and beloved mother of the late John Francis Dolan. She is survived by her loving daughters, Theresa Rosamilia, Anne Hannon (and her husband, Kevin), Monica Kessler (and her husband, George), Christine O’Keefe (and her husband Al) and her cherished 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 would be appreciated.
