Real Estate In The Sixes

As the Verona real estate market recovered from the recession, listing prices began to move up and the number of listings experiencing price cuts began to move down. That’s meant more listings in the $500,000 price range and, this weekend, three new listings in the $600,000 range–two of which have been substantially or entirely renovated. The five new listings this weekend are matched by five open houses, but, more unusually, six listings with lower prices. There have been many weeks in recent months when the listings moved to contract so fast that there have been no price changes at all.

Here’s what’s happening in each category, from lowest priced to highest: 

NEW LISTINGS
2 Claridge Drive #9JE: 1 beds, 1 1/2 bath condo in full-service high-rise building. Storage space on same floor. $259,000.
8 Rose Terrace: 4 beds, 2 baths. Bi-level with updated kitchen, baths on large flat yard. $483,000.
20 Church Street: 4 beds, 2 1/2 baths. Gut-renovated colonial with porch. New mechanicals, finished basement. $629,000.
17 Cypress Avenue: 4 beds, 2 baths. Newly renovated. Deck, fenced yard. $664,900.
24 Sunset Avenue. 4 beds, 3 1/2 baths. Colonial with large kitchen, formal dining room. $698,800.
