United Way Job Fair May 16

United Way of Northern New Jersey is teaming up with community partners to offer area job seekers an opportunity to meet with prospective employers and connect to various community resources on Tuesday, May 16.

The job resource fair will take place from 5 to 9 p.m. at the United Way building, located at 60 South Fullerton Avenue in Montclair.

The fair will help area job seekers including ALICE (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed) or those in poverty find jobs that lead to financial stability and learn about quality, affordable options for housing, child care and financial products. Job prospects will range from entry-level to professional-level positions.

To date, the following prospective employers will be on hand: Garden State Community Bank, Glenmont Group, Metro Public Adjustment Inc., Montclair Child Development Center Inc., Montclair Township, Prudential, Tolbert Financial, and Wegmans.

Representatives from local agencies will be available to discuss affordable child care and housing, financial services information, health insurance and becoming an entrepreneur. The following agencies will be represented: Garden State Community Bank, Generate Buzz, LLC; HOMECorp., Montclair Child Development Center, Montclair Community Pre-K, Montclair Housing Authority, Montclair Public Library, Prudential, St. Mark’s Methodist Church, Tolbert Financial, and Zufall Health.
