All eligible children will compete in three different skills challenges with the champions for each individual skill and an all-around champion from each division advancing to the sectional competition, which will be held on Saturday May 13 in Passaic. Winners of that will move on to a team championship in June and national finals, which will be held during Major League Baseball’s All Star Week in July.

The local May 5 competition will be held at Liberty Field behind the Verona Community Center, from 6 to 10 p.m. Participants may compete in only one age division, which is determined by the child’s age as of July 17, 2017.
