grocery-cartThe Episcopal Church of the Holy Spirit’s Food Pantry is running low on supplies and is asking for the community’s help in restocking. The church says the pantry can use just about anything, except canned vegetables or beans. It even ran out of pasta when it was open at the end of January.

Most-Needed Items(supplies are low or completely out):

Coffee
Laundry Detergent (no huge jugs)
Cleaning Products (Spic & Span, dish detergent, Lysol, etc.)
Personal Care Items (toothpaste and tooth brushes, shampoo, soap, deodorant, shaving cream, razors)
Baby Wipes (often requested by shoppers)
Peanut Butter
Jelly

Other Items Needed:

Cereal
Tuna
Mayo
Pasta
Canned Fruit
Milk (like Parmalat)
Dry Dog and Cat Food
Rice
Crackers
Granola Bars
Facial Tissues
Mac & Cheese
Snack Packs/ Pudding/ Fruit Cups
Pasta Sauce/ Canned Tomatoes

Donations can be dropped off in the church’s 24-hour bin located just outside the parking lot door of the church building.

Holy Spirit also appreciates financial support, which enables it to purchase low inventory items and be able to provide gift cards (when possible) to shoppers. The Food Pantry is a ministry of the Episcopal Church of the Holy Spirit and your financial donation is tax deductible.

The Food Pantry is open from 9 to 11 a.m. on the fourth Saturday of every month; it will be open next on Saturday, February 24. Anyone in need is welcome. If you need assistance in an emergency, before this date, please contact the church office at [email protected] or leave a voicemail at (973) 239-2850 to make arrangements. The church is very sensitive to people’s privacy and will do whatever it can to ensure anonymity of recipients.
