Our Lady of the Lake Church is hosting its 11th annual Men’s Cornerstone 24-hour retreat this coming Friday, November 4. Cornerstone is an opportunity for the men to reconnect with their faith and take some time to refresh. It’s a 24-hour retreat that happens right on the premises of the church and is organized and run entirely by men in the parish. It starts Friday, November 4 at 6 p.m. and ends right after 5:30 p.m. mass on Saturday. This year’s theme is “You Are Not Alone”.
Cornerstone is an opportunity for men to get their faith house in order. No distractions, no phones, no pressure. It’s just a day with other men of the parish who share a common purpose of understanding that we are better fathers, spouses, brothers, sons or workers if we are open to a stronger connection to our faith. The food is really good as well! Most of us are busy with appointments, children’s sporting events, and other social engagements each weekend. We ask that you consider prioritizing this event as it is a unique opportunity to not only enrich your faith- but also to connect with a network of men within the Church with a similar commitment to their faith.
