2:25 PM: Ptl. Ed Ruff took a report of property damage form a Brookdale Avenue resident. The resident reported that an unknown person has been opening her mail. She reports today that she received a bank statement that had been opened and then taped closed. She has been in contact with the US Postal Service.
11:04 PM: Officer Rob Juliano took a report of harassment from a Linn Drive resident. The resident reported that she received a harassing letter from an unknown person. She was advised to contact the police if she receives any additional letters.
July 16, 2016
1:07 PM: Officer Erin McGarrity responded along with the Verona Rescue Squad to a report of a person who fell on Park Place. After treatment for a shoulder, injury the victim was transported to Mountainside hospital.
3:28 PM: Officer Chris Scheper took a report of a burglary to a motor vehicle from a Kenwood Avenue resident. The resident reported that he noticed his E-ZPass was missing from his vehicle. The resident is unsure when this occurred. Value of missing item is unknown at this time.

8:31 PM: Officer Chris Scheper took a report of a burglary to a motor vehicle from a Montclair resident. The resident reported that she parked her vehicle in the Pilgrim Plaza. When she returned to her vehicle, she discovered the back window smashed and her purse missing from the rear floor. The value of the damage and missing items are unknown at this time.
July 19, 2016
1:06 AM: Officer Robert Maguire conducted a motor vehicle stop on Bloomfield Avenue after a random check of the vehicle registration showed an active warrant for the vehicle owner. Upon checking the operator’s credentials, a warrant from the Bloomfield Municipal Court was confirmed for the operator Darlin Tejeda-Martinez of East Orange. Tejeda-Martinez was placed under arrest and transported to police headquarters. After processing, he was released with a pending court date in the Bloomfield Municipal Court.
11:48 AM: Officer Ed Ruff took a report of a neighbor dispute on Brentwood Drive. Both residents report that the other made harassing and offensive remarks to the other. Both residents were advised of complaint procedures.
8:03 PM: Sgt. Dave Wardrope took a report of a found key ring from an East Reid Place resident. The key ring contained a vehicle key, house keys and several store discount cards. The officer was unable to determine the owner and the keys were placed into property.
July 20, 2016
3:22 PM: Officer Stephanie Colon took a report of a fraud from a Hemlock Drive resident. The resident reported that he sold some items on Walletpop. A female agreed to buy the items for $1,000. She then sent a check to the resident for $2,550. The buyer requested he cash the check, keep the money for the items and send the remainder to a shipping company. The resident felt this was fraudulent and contacted the police. He was advised to contact the police if anything additional occurs.

11:34 AM: Officer Ed Ruff took a report of a neighbor dispute on Cypress Avenue. The neighbors were disagreeing on the property line and the placement of a fence post. One resident was able to provide a property survey. Both parties were provided with information on obtaining a survey and how to contact the building inspector.
