9:12 AM: Officer Brendan Huber conducted a motor vehicle stop on Lakeside Avenue for an observed violation. While checking the driver’s credentials, a warrant from the Paterson Municipal Court was found. The driver, Juan Otalbaro of Clifton, was placed under arrest and transported to police headquarters. After processing he posted bail and was released.

July 11, 2016

11:52 AM: Officer William Frazee took a report of a found license plate on Fairview Avenue. The owner was contacted and retrieved their property.

2:57 PM: Officer Steve Young took a report of a larceny from a Park Court resident. The resident reported that two packages that had been delivered by UPS were missing from her porch. The value of the missing items is $43. The resident has been in contact with the merchants who shipped the items.

4:53 PM: Officer Thomas Conroy took a report of a larceny from a Claremont Avenue business. The store manager reported that a black male exited the store carrying a plastic bag that contained merchandise that he had not paid for. A check of the area for the subject was conducted with negative results.

July 12, 2016

11:58 AM: Officer Brian McMahon took a report of property damage from a Grove Avenue resident. The resident reported that a power line had been pulled from the house causing damage to the siding. The value of the damage is unknown at this time.

12:25 PM: Officer Anthony Condorelli took a report of lost property from a Morningside Road resident. The resident reported that he lost his New Jersey driver’s license.

7:30 PM: Sgt. Dave Wardrope took a report of a found wallet at a Bloomfield Avenue business. The property owner was located and the property was returned.

July 13, 2016

3:24 PM: Officer Steve Young took a report of a customer dispute at a Bloomfield Avenue business. The manager stated that the customer asked for a ride to East Hanover and was advised that they would not give her a ride. The customer then entered a non-public area of the business and was asked to leave the area. The customer then became upset and made threatening statements to the manager. The manager asked that the customer not return to the business. The customer was advised not to return to the business.

July 14, 2016

12:38 PM: Officer Giovanni DeSomma took a report of property damage from a Bloomfield resident. The resident reported that while in the Pilgrim Plaza, she was approached by two males who offered to repair a dent on the bumper of her vehicle. She advised them she would take their card and call them at a later time. The two males then began buffing the bumper and spraying paint onto the vehicle. After asking for $700 she gave them $80 and they left the area. The resident then took her vehicle to a body shop and was advised that it would be $1000 to repair the damage.

5:59 PM: Sgt. Robert Shafer took a report of lost property from a Linn Drive resident. The resident reported that he lost his wallet. The wallet contained his NJ driver’s license and numerous credit cards. He was provided with identity theft information.
